Life Coaching - Finding passion

I like to see things working in practice. I'm a 'show me' type of person. Life Coaching is so practical. It brings about positive change quickly and measurably... 'Understand what makes you happy'. Such a simple statement but all to easy to brush over. Sounds so simple right? And yet let me ask you this

  • Do you have a prioritised list of your top 10 passions or values? Values
  • Have you ever listed down what you're really good at?
  • You should know what your passions are and passions should be the seed for your life and goals.

Your goals should come from your most natural abilities and qualities. In essence the building blocks to a happy life is simply this, so stop for a moment ...get a piece of paper and a pen and write these down.
Engage all your senses to See, think about and feel what exactly a life of value means to you.

So how do you find your Passion?

    Firstly You need to

    RELAX:

Rule1: It's not possible to see unless you can think clearly

You do this by calming yourself down to a quiet, grounded, peaceful place. Have you ever noticed that when you get 'emotinal' with someone you are not able to think clearly. All those things you wanted to say just seem to go from your mind. Emotion can cloud your thinking. Your thoughts can race around your head controlling YOU instead of YOU controlling them.

The secret is being centred and learning RELAXATION, being in a centred place. Ok so you're saying this is all well and good. But "who can relax whilst getting angry say?". Well it's amazing the difference a little practice (create new habits) can have on a 'difficult' situation. A well practiced breathing technique can work wonders. Very soon getting angry may seem a very different experience and indeed may happen less altogether. Do you know where this centred place is and how to get there? Being coached develops a clarity of how you can best ground yourself as well as learning what takes your attention away.
You will probably have heard of some relaxation techniques. Many are founded on the principle of focused breathing. They are really quite simple and are just based on focussing on slow, deep, controlled breathing. Their importance is paramount in helping you SEE things more as they are, clearly. Ask me about them. .

Many of these concentrate on physical activity (Yoga, Palates, Tai Chi, Gardening and even sports like Tennis and Golf) which take us away from our clouded thoughts and into our bodies. This is an excellent way to ground yourself. In the long term there are other great ways to minimise and in fact clear some of the more annoying reactions we can sometimes have and interferences they create.

Our minds need to be rested once in a while just as they like stimulation of different types. Have you noticed how a piece of work, writing or problem can seem so much clearer after leaving it for a bit and doing something completely different such as exercise?

Rule 2: From peace to better self-understanding

Once you're in a quiet, centred place you can then take a look around you as well as a good look at yourself.

To really see what's going on around you, sharpen your mind and start to see how you are influenced by others around you. When people come to see me and start taking greater responsibility for their lives and asking those tough questions they start seeing their lives quite differently. If you're interested in 'my take' on what's happening in our society click here. See if it resonates with you. Why Coaching, Why now? can give new perspectives on your life. Then look at yourself. Try these two exercises to help create better self-understanding. They are really simple to do but can be very revealing.

  • The Mini-Awareness Game and
  • Find your top 10 Key Values or Passions What keywords excite/best define you?
Simply becoming aware of what excites you or frustrates you on a day-to-day basis can be an incredibly useful exercise. It can be as simple as taking note of your feelings and becoming more aware of your daily interactions. Those that know you best can be an incredible source of information if you ask them. I can give you specific tasks designed ideally for you within your Life Coaching.
Experience has lead me to believe that you are perfectly designed to be uniquely brilliant at something...this ISN'T just fanciful flattery or vain hope, I really believe it and have seen this time and again with people...Do you know what YOURS is?

This sounds so simple and yet in reality few people ever define their dreams or passions for themselves...

This is itself an indication of how life's complexities can take us away from our passions. If you are not aiming to fulfil your passions how can you expect to achieve things that will fulfil you...?

Rule 3: Create Goals that serve your passion!

As a business consultant, Hypnotherapist and life coach I have worked with many people, across many different fields of work to help re-establish a connection to 'it' , their Passion and create goals that serve them. Using a structured process and specialised tools I can help you fill your life with your passions.

Rule 4: Create a Plan and ensure you stick to it!

The time comes to transform thoughts into action. The key here is taking action ...doing something...and sticking to it. My Performance coaching aims to bring out your resources to support you and flags up any blocks to minimise them.

I take my lead from you, but will push you and call you out when you are being inconsistent with yourself. You can be confident that support and respect are the cornerstones to my work and that my focus is in getting you to be true to yourself.

My techniques move people forward quickly and re-awaken motivation and confidence, and you have my GUARANTEE on that!

As well as the specific GOALS you structure are these questions of interest on your coaching journey...
